Hotel Kriunes Kopavogur

During my stay at this hotel over Christmas, I really enjoyed the peaceful location, surrounded by a beautiful lake. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Additionally, I appreciated the free coffee and the cozy common areas with big, soft sofas where I could relax and enjoy the view.

On the downside, I found that some areas of the hotel, such as the restaurant and lobby, were outdated. There were also ongoing refurbishing works that caused noise disturbance during my stay.

The hot tub and lake view were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The on-site restaurant had limited options, but the food was delicious. I recommend it for a peaceful retreat.

I recently stayed at Hotel Kriunes for a few days to explore the beautiful surroundings. The staff was welcoming and the hotel had a cozy, luxury mountain chalet feel with lots of wood and warm atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel's location was remote enough to avoid light pollution, making it great for night observation, yet still easily accessible. The view of the lake from my room was stunning, and the on-site lounges provided the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.

I had a wonderful stay and I would n't hesitate to stay there again. The breakfast here was healthy with bacon, freshly baked bread, nice view.

The hotel is located just outside of the city center, making it a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area. It is also close to the airport, making it a convenient choice for travelers. There is a scenic lake right on the edge of the hotel, providing a beautiful view for guests.

The hot tub facilities are only open during restricted hours, limiting the opportunity for guests to relax and unwind.

We were bike riders and loved the convenient access to Hwy 1 for day trips. The outside hot tub was a great way to relax in the evenings.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel. The rooms were modern and had a lovely view. The staff, especially a lady during the day and a gentlemen in the evening, were extremely friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the hotel's convenient location for sightseeing and the pickup/drop-off services provided by tour operators. Plus, I was able to see the Northern Lights from my room!

The location of the hotel was perfect as it was close to Reykjavik city center but still away from all the noise in a quiet area and next to a beautiful lake. The breakfast was really good and worth the cost. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to directions and recommendations for activities. The hotel facilities including the hot tub and sauna were also very nice.

The leisure facilities were also top-notch, from the sauna to the sun terrace to the garden area. The hotel also offered tours, tickets, and recommendations for things to do around here, which was very convenient.

The rooms in this hotel were spacious and comfortable, and the view of the lake was absolutely wonderful. being a short 10-minute drive away from the city center gave us a better chance of seeing the northern lights.

One minor issue was that the hot water/coffee in the dining area would sometimes be empty or tepid, so it would have been nice to have hot drink facilities in our room. taxis in the area were expensive, so in hindsight, it would have been more cost-effective to hire a car.

Great location with beautiful views, nice amenities, and friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyed our comfortable family room and delicious meals. The hot tub was a nice added luxury, although there was an additional cost. a lovely hotel with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
